Airstrip on 4 August 1962.
MacRobertson Miller Airlines donated an Avro Anson aeroplane to Fairbridge - not
to fly, but as an attraction/plaything for the children. The plane was
handed over to the Principal Mr HRM Allan by the then Managing Director of
MMA, Captain Kleinig, and the Chief Pilot Captain Witham. |

Final photo of the plane's
arrival. It looks like that boy's had enough for today. Can anyone
identify him? Probably a staff boy or a visitor as his cardigan and
general dress doesn't fit the Fairbridge boy apparel of the era. |
