Only four wines were on offer - Liebfraumilch at 2 shillings a glass, Rhone Chateauheuf at 1/10 per glass, and 2 Australian wines  - Claret Chateau Tahbilk and Hock Australian Quelltaler both at one shilling a glass!

Sunday evening in the Cottages was letter writing time. Everyone had to write a letter to their parent/guardian, and the letters were vetted by the Cottage Mother. Here is one letter written in 1964. Typical grade seven style writing but not the neatest of hands. Letter is dated 22 May 1964.

A postcard of Fairbridge. Some of the pictures look 1950's or 1960's (judging by the bus model) but the dress style of the people looking at the cows looks much later (and so do the cows). Suggest this postcard was issued in the 1980's or thereabouts.

Queenie Walsh -  1914-2007 - our last direct link with Kingsley Fairbridge. Queenie passed away on 1 September 2007. This is the cover of her remembrance booklet for the church service. One of Fairbridge's favourite daughters. RIP Queenie.

John Lane, one of Fairbridge's most favourite sons, passed away on 24 June 2008. Here is a small booklet produced to commemorate his life. This is a PDF file so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open it.

MEM201101 Memorial plaque to Kingsley Fairbridge (1920) which is set in the footpath on St Georges Terrace, Perth, on the northern side of the road, next to the junction of Milligan Street.
MEM201102 Commemoration plaque to Fairbridge and the part it played in the history of Pinjarra. Set in the walkway which leads from behind the Murray Leisure Centre on down to the Murray River.
